Sorry, Java Jaguar is a day late. For those of you that keep track the day of the week by the publication of Java, I assure you that you are not going insane, today is Thursday. Well, it’s Thursday morning in my time zone.
I’m off on my own in Washington for a little over a week, then back to Northern California. I’ll need to swing by Alexandria to drop off the Golden Sphinx back in his lair. We were fortunate to have him here in the studio for the last few strips, but he has death traps and questers to take care of.
Really? You were implying that the Sphinx would be a lasting character. I hope we see more of him. 🙂
I’m sure he’ll show up on occasion. At least as often as Pongo or Dingo Jack.
By the way, did anyone ask what Java’s opinion was of water spray bottles?

Nah, it never came up. Can’t think of a comedic response off the top of my head. I think Java would just respond with swift and blinding violence.

Oh man, the Sphinx wouldn’t beat Java in a fight at all.
He might be able to take Kickman though…
Honestly, I doubt it: they may both come to a battle of wits unarmed, but Kickman resolves everything with the same methodology (kick the problem until it goes away; he might do so metaphorically, but that’s still his kicks).
