Java 241
Do some of you have a friend like that? Where money just comes easily to them? One day they are complaining about paying for a car repair and the next some stranger offers them $5000 to babysit their dog? Or they happen to find a gold brick on the side of the road?
I do.
Fortunately it happens to be my girlfriend.
While we were in Poinciana, Florida we were hired to clean out a lady’s attic for $300. We ended up selling all the contents for something in the neighborhood of $2800. There was a complete davit system in that attic. Still wrapped in the original packing material and with the invoice from Canada. I didn’t know what a davit system was. Most of you don’t know what a davit system is, that’s why I provided that link. We had to look it up. Sold it for $250 which was a bargain for those folks and a great find for us.
Anyway, we had a lot of stuff to sell over the course of about three months. One day, while we were waiting in a parking lot to meet some buyers, my was wandering around the parking lot picking up trash (because she likes to do that, because she is a wonderful person). One day she found $20 in the parking lot. One day she found $5. Once she found $15 while we were in line at a Wal-Mart. It’s a little bit scary how she’s a perpetual money machine. But super happy to be with her. 🙂

Now what will Java buy with all that money? *looks to the left* *looks to the right* Some catnip? I don’t have any of that stuff. But if Java does find a seller, I hope he is very cafeful.
Careful I mean. Darn the History Channel and the Forged in Fire marathon they are doing.
I just want to point out that your “typo” is a fitting pun for Java
Wait… there’s a typo? But a typo in air quotes… where is it?
Oh, you meant Borderwolf’s typo… duh. I went into full editor panic mode for nothing.
Java will buy something much more addictive than catnip between now and next strip. IS that a spoiler? Nah, that’s not a spoiler. Well, let’s see if that was a spoiler…
5 Kick Points to anyone that can guess Java’s purchase before Wednesday’s strip goes live!
Good luck like that has to be earned, and I am glad your lady has. You are luckier than you know Matt (except of course you know how lucky you are).
Oh, I know it. She also likes to remind me. Just finding cash strewn at her feet is small potatoes compared to some of the things that have happened during her life. The kinds of things that you only expect to happen in TV sitcoms… I should write a book about it someday.
