There’s more than one way to motivate a cat.

If “The Narrator” from Kickman were here, the box text would read something like, “The princess leans her warm fur against Java’s side, gently scratching behind his ears while uttering a sultry purr.” And that might be enough to get the strip flagged for adult content.

Let’s face it, Java is a sucker for the ladies. He pretty much finds Gayle’s ear scratches irresistible. And the only time he ever threatened to beat up/maul/scratch a female human was Willow the Vegan Baker (and fifth horsewoman of the Apocalypse).

No time for love, Java. Time to get medieval on those Space Slugs.
