I just looked through all the past comics and realized that Java has 4-5 spots. I think 5. 1 on his head, 1 on his back, 1 on his tail, and 1 on each knee. Except in #22 and #3 wheres he’s missing spots on his knees
I was preparing a long explanation of how a young jaguar has rosettes that sometimes fade in and out of view because their fur grows so quickly and the pigmentation of their fur adjusts from changing hormone levels…. but actually, I just forget to draw spots sometimes. :\
