Baristas don’t get no respect. No respect at all.

Yeah, sounds like life in the service industry. Honestly, if they had any spunk they’d poison all the food they’re serving out to the people insulting them to their face.
Some baristas do get respect. The place I go to before work are very nice, and since the Marrionberry scones go quickly, they save one for me. So how could I treat them badly?
When I was a barista, I got respect from almost all of my customers. And from the owners of the small cafe. Also from the upper management like the CFO’s and people with the last name Nordstrom. The reason I quit two of my jobs was because of conflict with my immediate managers. Usually because I was way overqualified and everyone looked to me rather than them to solve problems and they had fragile egos.
