Java Jaguar

You can see that I borrowed one of the “standard thugs” from Kickman to rob the coffee shop. I have a limited pool of background actors to pick from when casting for the strip. Sort of like television in Hawaii. Sure, everyone recognizes McGarret on Hawaii Five-0. But, I think my character on the show was much more interesting. After all, I was a Triad gang member, a coroner, a forensics evidence collector, AND a Maui PD cop. Now there’s a dude with a compelling life story!

So, meet our robber Todd. In the periwinkle ski mask with matching pants and the drab olive tank top. You may remember him standing guard outside of Kick HQ in the last page of Enemy Lines (http://kickmancomic.mattslawblog.com/comic/enemy-lines-22/)

Unfortunately, this will be Todd’s last appearance in any of my comics because he insisted on doing his own stunts for this episode and Java got carried away with the mauling.

Java Jaguar is being uploaded from a Panera in Lake Forest, California. I am living on the road for the next three days until my next house sit starts in Santa Ana. I’m also flying solo while my girlfriend is taking care of business in Thousand Oaks and in Oregon later this week.
