Java 222
3 Kick Points to MerlinOfTheTower for providing today’s letter. Java Jaguar is a day late today because I was busy painting a large complicated “art” for a contest yesterday. The art was for an album cover by @elamental for an album called Power of Truth. The (reduced) final version is here if anyone is interested in muh arts that aren’t comic strips: https://hive.blog/hive-156509/@sidekickmatt/elemental-truth-contest-entry
Speaking of contests, if you didn’t catch the blog post below this strip, I’m awarding 10 Kick Points to whoever comes up with the best name for the unholy spawn of Lord Desejo Blak, eldest vampire of the Amazonas Clan and Lord K’zin-thar of the Beast Realms. Java is a big softie when it comes to Gayle. She scratches his ears in just the right way. So long as Matt doesn’t invoke the “Gayle said it!” get-out-of-java-jail-card too often, it may save him from a few beatings.

*Wonders if getting Java some coffee will calm him down.*
A cappuccino would calm him down since it is mostly warm milk and clouds. An espresso would result in an immediate attack.
Someone was telling me once that what kind of liquor they drank determined what kind of drunk they were. Whiskey = mean drunk, tequila = happy drunk, etc. Same principle for coffee.
I have to disagree just a little about whiskey. If you add a splash of Irish Whiskey to coffee, you get a happy drunk.
I read about that in health class. I think it’s called the Synergistic Effect.
If you’ve survived a jaguar attack then you tend to get served first in pubs. 🙂 Java’s reaction was actually milder than expected, heh!
Ah, that’s why you are provoking Java. Hmmm… maybe a strip called Beer Bear should be on the docket.
Well, while Merlin’s running away…
How many pranks have you pulled on Matt?
Does Matt pull any pranks on you?
What was your favorite cab fare?
Who would win a fight? Matt? Or Matt in a headband?
How far can you throw a Mime?
Hmmm… Yeah, I see the one I want to answer.
