Rakshasa Daywalker Revealed!
Name this character and earn 10 Kick Points!
Recently two creatures of the night appeared in the pages of Java Jaguar thinking that they were Java’s “fathers.” Java of course realized through his Jaguar Senses that neither of these dumb bipeds were his father. Meanwhile, across the globe… actually just a short jaunt South down the globe, in Peru, a young Rakshasa-cub-vampire-daywalker stalks the land searching for some evidence of his origin.
Who knows. Maybe I’ll start a third comic strip. This one would be more like venom, filled with gore and horror.
Jaguar is actually a Mexican word. In Peru the great cats are called El Tigre, the Tiger. This isn’t really wrong since Tiger is derived from an ancient Hindi phrase meaning Painted Cat. In Africa, leopards are called Tigers. (Don’t tell Java.)
Daywalker vampires sparkle in the sunlight and have no need for caffeine, since they are unsleeping as well as undead. Rakshasa live inside whirlwinds where it is very difficult to drink from a cup.
Therefore I suggest your newest character be named Sparklewind the Decaffienated!

ummm… That sounds a little too My Little Pony.
LOL. It was a windup.:)
In Arab lands a particular kind of sandstorm whirlwind is called a haboob. And then we have Blake’s poem about burning tigers. Haboob the Burnished would be a name that might give Java something to play with. 🙂
coffee cougar?
Cougar? Bah!
Tigre Bloodthirster Hexcastus is my suggestion. 🙂
That’s a mouthful. Sounds pretty sinister.
It wouldn’t always be the full name. You don’t always call Java by his full name in the Java strip. But since we’re doing a Naming, I’m offering a long, intimidating name that will be great for those dramatic, now-I’m-really-angry moments. Picture it! About to go into full confrontation with whoever the villain is, and…
*cue lightning*
“You now face Tigre Bloodthirster Hexcaster, you should know who is your end.”
But to his allies *of course* it would be just Tigre.
Hah! I meant Hexcastus, of course.
“My name is Tigre Bloodthirster Hexcastus, you killed my father…. prepare to die…”
Java: “YAAAAWWWN!”
Well, we sure as hell can’t call him XKE, that’s already been done.
Although I do propose that his new nemesis’s name be Lethe. Bloodthirster Hexcastus has elite cache but yosephus has a nice ring.
Yosephus, Yosephus…? It does have a nice ring. Yosephus the Bloody! Yosephus the Mystical!
